Inspired by the rising sun, Toulouse-born architect Bertrand Balas designed the Here Comes The Sun in 1970, recalling the sun setting over the Garonne river. At first glance, this original design is like all the other lamps that get called an ‘original’. But once lit, the hanging lamp takes on a magical quality. Darkness loses its rawness and metamorphoses into something reassuring.
